  • Flor MacCarthy’s talk will include highlights from her book The Presidents' Letters, an Unexpected History of Ireland, which will include details and insights of President Ronald Reagan’s stay at Ashford Castle
  • Turtle Bunbury, whose talk will focus on the Irish diaspora from the early missionaries through to convicts, imperialists, emigrants, famine refugees and political activists
  • Caitríona Perry's talk from Kennedy to Trump, how Irish Americans have long played a pivotal role in US politics. Via live link to the castle, Caitríona will look at the power wielded by the Irish at the highest levels of US politics in her talk ‘Stars, stripes and Shamrocks, the Irish influence in US politics’
